MCH Welcomes New Director of Pharmacy

Mountains Community Hospital is pleased to welcome Lori Arnold, Pharm D, as the new Director of Pharmacy. Dr. Arnold is an unwavering wellness warrior, fearless medication safety advocate and enlightened clinical integrative pharmacist. She comes to MCH from Palm Desert where she was Pharmacy Manager at CVS and the CEO and Founder of Health Yourself Beautiful wellness coaching services (www.HealYourselfBeautiful.com).

No stranger to small towns, Lori grew up in the town of Hettinger, North Dakota. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Montana School Of Pharmacy in 2000, and has worked in hospital settings for over 7 years. Her previous work experience includes Medical Liaison at Sanofi, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world; Medication and Safety Compliance Manager at Desert Regional Medical Center; Clinical Pharmacist at Eisenhower Medical Center and the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton.

During her career, she also maintained a 3-year position as Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy. In addition, she has had guest appearances on Dr. OzThe Wellness Hour, and local news programs covering medication-related stories.

Being a strong believer in the body’s amazing ability to heal itself and having a desire to learn about the functional approach to wellness, Lori attended her first natural medicine conference with the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (A4M) in 2010. Within eight months, she completed a fellowship and become a board certified fellowship-trained pharmacist with A4M.

In 2015, Lori founded Heal Yourself Beautiful, a business that offers private consultation services to help clients with digestive wellness, food intolerances, weight loss, drug interactions, detoxification, nutrient depletions and supplementation, vitamins and homeopathy, essential oils and lifestyle modifications.

Her most recent achievement is the launch of her book, Undrugged: Sleep in which she explores the sleep deprivation epidemic and the overprescribing of unneeded and dangerous sleep medications. Lori provides readers with practical, effective and safer natural sleep solutions. More information about her book can be found at www.undrugged.com.

When she is not working, Dr. Lori engages in activities she loves like yoga, Pilates, cross-fit, hiking, movies, time with friends and family, fishing, cooking, reading, traveling and exploring. She is thrilled to be working at Mountains Community Hospital and feels right at home here. Please join us in welcoming Lori to the MCH team and our community!
