Skilled Nursing Facility
There may come a time when you can no longer provide your loved one with the care they need. When that time comes, there is no need to move them down the hill, away from family and friends. There is an amazing Skilled Nursing Facility right here in Lake Arrowhead, where your family member can stay close to their community, their friends and you. The facility is unique in that it is connected to the hospital, providing a level of care that few facilities in the area offer.
Our team of highly skilled nurses, therapists, social workers, activity directors and aides provide exceptional care. Their efforts are life-changing and life-affirming, and our residents agree.
“I never imagined I would end up in a facility as wonderful as this. The staff are amazing. I particularly enjoy the outings, both on and off the mountain. Many activities are available throughout the month, which family members and friends can take part in. I love this place – it’s my home.”
– Janet Owens, MCH Skilled Nursing Facility resident
Nursing and rehabilitation services include:
Physical and occupational therapy
Palliative careor comfort care
For seriously ill patients, our Skilled Nursing Facility provides excellent palliative care, also known as comfort care. This type of care is designed to improve the quality of life for seriously ill patients; not only for their body, but also their mind and spirit with the goal of enabling your loved one to live his or her final days with the highest quality of life possible. We also provide end-of-life counseling and family grief support.
Activities and Socialization
Our residents share meals, watch movies, play board games, enjoy parties and work on craft projects in our recently remodeled activity room. We are fortunate to have community members who volunteer their time and expertise for yoga, cooking, and storytelling. We even have therapy dog visits and a professionally trained singer who stops by for sing-alongs.
The activity van, equipped to accommodate wheelchairs, enables residents of all levels of mobility to enjoy outings to nearby stores, parks, museums, restaurants and other areas they have an interest in. Spiritual services are also available upon request.
A new ADA accessible ramp gives our residents easy access to our Rose Garden, that many say offers the best view of Lake Arrowhead on the mountain. The beautiful grounds have walking paths and places to sit where they can relax or socialize with fellow residents, family and friends.
“I’ve been investigating Skilled Nursing Facilities all over Southern California for 10 years, and this is by far the best one.”
– Anthony Jakubiak, Long-Term Care Ombudsmen
