SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages an average of 17 – 20 full-time, part-time and per diem employees in the Emergency Services Department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with MCH policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This position manages and resolves human resource, employee and department safety, and risk management issues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three to five years in Medical Surgical/Perioperative and/or Emergency Nursing Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Registered Nurse license via State of California
Current CPR certificate
Current ACLS certificate
Current PALS certificate
ATLS and/or CEN preferred
