Since
its incorporation in 1991, the Mountains Community
Hospital Foundation has provided both the leadership
and the financial support necessary to operate
and improve Mountains Community Hospital.
In
the face of many difficult challenges, ranging
from escalating equipment costs, to HMO nightmares,
to the
threat
of wildfires, the
MCH Foundation
has not only kept the community hospital open,
it
has helped it to thrive. In a community of this
size, it was once thought nearly impossible
to raise the resources necessary to create and
maintain a cutting edge medical facility staffed
by experienced healthcare professionals. And
yet, that's exactly what we've accomplished
at Mountains Community Hospital.
Today,
our community hospital is one in which every
resident can take pride ... and in which every
patient can take solace. It is also a facility
that is wholly dependent on the contributions
of its community. In a very real way, a gift
to Mountains Community Hospital is a gift to
oneself, an investment in ourselves.
